Applying for a scholarship — questions & answers

Everything families ask, from creating an account to paying an installment. Ready? Create your account — you can save and come back any time.

Getting started

Who can apply?

Young baseball and softball players in New York City, in the age groups 360 is taking this season (currently 10U to 17U).

Scholarships are need-based: talent and commitment decide who makes the roster, and a family’s finances only decide how much help it gets.

How do I start an application?
  1. On the website press Apply for a scholarship (or Start your application).
  2. A parent or guardian creates the account — athletes under 18 never apply alone. Enter your name, email, phone and a password of 12 or more characters, then your athlete’s full legal name and date of birth.
  3. Press Create account & start application. You go straight into the application.

You can save and come back any time — nothing reaches our team until you review and submit.

I didn’t get the 6-digit code.

The code is emailed when you create the account and works for 15 minutes.

  • Check your spam or promotions folder.
  • On the Confirm your email page (or the “Verify your email” card in your portal) press Send a new code.
  • You can keep working on the application meanwhile — you only need a confirmed email to submit.

If you asked for many codes in a row, wait a few minutes and try again.

Is there a deadline?

Each application season has its own deadline, shown on your application when one is set. Apply as early as you can — a complete application is reviewed sooner.

What are the steps from applying to training?
  1. Create your account
  2. Add your athlete
  3. Complete the application
  4. Evaluation
  5. Roster decision
  6. Train & give back

Filling in the application

What does the application ask?

It is one page with numbered sections:

  • 1 · Athlete
  • 2 · Baseball background
  • 3 · Parent / Guardian
  • 4 · Financial information
  • 5 · Academics
  • 6 · In your own words
  • 7 · Documents
  • 8 · Commitments
  • 9 · Consents
  • Review & submit

The “Still needed before you can submit” box lists exactly what is left, with a Complete button for each.

Does it save automatically?

Yes — most sections save by themselves a moment after you stop typing (you will see “Draft saved”). Documents, Commitments and Consents do not: press their Upload securely or Save button.

You can also press Save & continue later and come back any time.

Which answers are required?

Athlete name, date of birth, age group, school and grade, positions, bats/throws, current team, highest level played, “Why 360?”, parent/guardian details, household income and size, the tax-return confirmation, the required documents, all seven commitments and the program-participation consent.

Academics and the other consents are optional.

What is “In your own words”?

An optional statement — but the selection committee reads it. Tell us what this scholarship would change for your athlete and your family, and what we should understand about your situation. There is no right answer and no minimum length; write it the way you would say it.

How do I submit?
  1. When nothing is left in “Still needed”, press Review & submit.
  2. Read and sign the Financial Disclosure Agreement (tick “I agree”, type your name and sign with your finger or mouse). It asks you to tell us in writing within 30 days if your finances change.
  3. Press Submit application.

You get a “We received your application” email with your application number.

Documents & privacy

Which documents do I need?

Your federal tax return (page 1) is required. A report card or other financial-support documents may be asked for too — the Documents section lists exactly what your application needs.

A photo is fine. Black out Social Security numbers first — we only read the income figure.

What files can I upload?

PDF, JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC photos, up to 10 MB each. If an upload fails, check the file type and size and try again.

Who sees our tax return and income?

Only the designated financial verifier. Financial documents are stored encrypted and are never shown to coaches or to the selection committee — the committee reviews applications blind, with no names, contact details or finances.

Because of that, once uploaded you cannot open the tax return again yourself; the portal shows “Stored encrypted — visible to the financial verifier only.”

Do I have to agree to photos and publicity?

No. Only program participation is required to enroll. Use of your athlete’s name, photo or story is your choice, you can change it later, and declining never affects the scholarship.

Do donors choose which athlete they support?

No. Donors give to scholarships or to a team; 360 decides how gifts are allocated. Donors never select an athlete and never see a family’s finances.

After you submit

What happens after I submit?

Your portal shows where you are:

  1. Application received
  2. In review — financial verification, then a blind committee review, then the board
  3. Decision
  4. Scholarship offer
  5. Enrolled

We email you at each step.

Our team asked a question or said something is missing — what do I do?

Your portal shows a card “Our team has a question” (or the missing items). Answer in Your response and press Send response, or update the sections it names and press Submit again.

Once submitted, the application can no longer be edited — if something else needs correcting, send us a message.

Go there →

How long does it take?

The board reviews applications at its quarterly meetings and we tell you the release date for decisions. Complete applications move fastest.

We were waitlisted — is that a no?

No. A waitlisted application is reconsidered automatically at the next quarterly review — you do not need to apply again. If an application is not approved you may apply again in a future season.

Offer & payments

How do I accept the scholarship offer?

The offer arrives by email and on your portal under Your scholarship offer, with the award, your family contribution and the date to respond by (usually 14 days).

Press Accept offer — or Decline offer. We send a reminder a few days before it expires.

Go there →

What is the family contribution?

Every participating family contributes according to its verified ability — it is part of the 360 model and it is set privately. It is a program payment, not a charitable donation, and it is split into installments shown under Payments in your portal.

How do I pay an installment?
  1. Open your portal and scroll to Payments.
  2. Press Pay now next to the installment.
  3. Pay on the secure Stripe page (card or other methods it offers).

You get a “Payment received” email and the row changes to Paid. If you want to pay another way, send us a message.

Go there →

It says a payment is “already open in another tab”.

You already started paying this installment. Finish it in the other tab or window — or wait half an hour and press Pay now again. If you pressed Back on the payment page, you can start again straight away. This stops the same installment being paid twice.

What do athletes and families commit to?
  • Training up to five days a week inside the EP4 development system
  • Sharing report cards each grading period (help and accountability, not punishment)
  • The family contribution, based on verified ability
  • Taking part in an approved crowdfunding campaign if offered
  • Volunteer service
  • The 360 mentorship program
  • That the information you gave is true

Your account

I forgot my password.
  1. On the sign-in page press Forgot password?
  2. Enter your email and press Send reset link.
  3. Open the link in the email (it works for one hour) and choose a new password of 12 or more characters.

After 10 wrong attempts an account locks for 15 minutes.

Go there →

How do I change my password?

Open Account (your name at the top right), then Change password.

Go there →

How do I contact the 360 team?

Signed in, use Messages in your portal — a person on the team answers there, and it is the fastest way for anything about an application already in progress.

Or email info@360eliteperformance.org / call 929-384-3372.

Where are the forms I was asked to fill in?

Under My Forms. Each shows Not started, how far along you are, or Submitted, plus any due date. You can save part-way and come back. If we ask for changes you will see “Our team has asked for a few changes” with what to fix.
